It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the promotion to glory of Lillian Nyambura Gitau (“Mama Kanisa”) of Chemonics Kenya Ltd.

Cherished daughter of the late Josephat M. Magonda and Milkah W. Magonda.Daughter-in-law of the late Cyrus G. Nderitu and Peninah N. Nderitu.

Beloved wife of Anthony Gitau Nderitu.

“World’s Best Mother” of Nderitu Wanjau Gitau and Phillis Gathoni, Emmanuel Muriuki Gitau and Diana Nduati.

Loving Sister to Winnie Magonda,  Andrew and Susan Njoroge, the late Joseph Magonda and Bilha Nyambura, Samuel Maragara and Grace. Sister in law to Evans and Purity Njaramba, Martin Kabuchi and Christine, Wilfred and Jane Ngunjiri. In-law of the Nduatis.

Daily meetings are being held at her house in Komarock 5B and at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Tuesday 9th February and Wednesday 10th February, from 5 to 8pm.

A Memorial service to celebrate the life of Mum is scheduled for Wednesday the 10th of February at Nairobi Lighthouse Church (off Exit 7, Thika Road), as from 12 to 2pm. The church requests that arrival commences at 11am for COVID-19 protocols to be observed.

Cortège leaves Lee Funeral Home at 6am on Friday 12th February for a graveside burial service at the Nderitu’s farm in Mung’aria, Aguthi, Tetu, Nyeri (near Kangubiri Girls’ High School) from 10am.
