Birth
Martin Kisombe Mwanjalla was born in 1953 in Sagalla Location, Mtangoni village, the third born son of the late Peter Kinyango Mwanjalla and the late Elfridah Chao. He was brother to the late Laban Kitatu, Meshack Mwanjalla, Vigilance Wamvua, Mary Samba, and Mark Mghalu.

Education
His education began at Wray primary school and later Church army community Center, where he sat for his CPE in 1969. This began his journey of learning and discipline. He then proceeded to City High School, where he sat for his EACE in 1973.

Christian life
A dedicated member of the Anglican Church, Martin faithfully participated in church activities and upheld the values of his faith throughout his life.

Impact and legacy
Martin was a man of great discipline, reliability, and order. He was well organized in all his affairs, ensuring every undertaking was done with care. Known for his generosity, he always shared what he had with family and friends. His life reflected responsibility, integrity, and a genuine spirit of giving.

Work
Martin started as a clerical Officer at Kenya posts and Telecommunications Corporation in 1974. Through hard work and discipline, he rose to the position of assistant manager. He retired in 2006 after years of diligent service, leaving a legacy of professionalism and integrity.

Marriage
Martin married his late wife, Daisy Mwake, on 6th December 1986 at St. Marks Church, Sagalla. They were blessed with three children: Martha Chao, Cathy Mwaka, and Eddah Wakesho. He was a respected father-in-law to Peter Wangugi and Lawrence Mwenda, and a proud grandfather to Shaleem, Lugo, Phoebe, and Tija, cherishing each with guidance and affection.

Ailment
On Thursday 12th March 2026, he complained of nausea and coldness. He was treated and discharged on Friday, spending Saturday with his nephews. However, that evening he suffered a heart attack. Despite the efforts of the medical team at Nairobi West Hospital, he passed away at age 72, having lived a full life of service and faith.
