It is with profound sorrow the we announce the sudden passing of Aitor John Mwakio on Monday 5th January 2026.

Husband to Jacqueline and doting father to Itziar and Izaskum.

Son of Roman Dalmas Mwakio and the late Maria Iciar Urrutia Bolumburu.

Brother to the late Edward and Idoia Mwakio. Brother-in-law to Carla Martyres, Miguel Lopez Cochero (Spain), Anyhony Ndungu, Lucy Mworia, Margaret Irungu, and Paula Lopez Cochero (Spain).

Uncle to Enrique, Eneko, Amaya (Spain), Ryan Iraki among others.

Nephew for the late Emmanuel, the late Samwela, the late Gladys, Sabina Machocho, Helena Moka, Sister Regina Moka CPS, Izaskun Urrutia and Martin Urrutia (Lauliniz , Spain).

The funeral service will be held at St Austin’s Church (St Mary’s School, Lavington) on Friday 9th January 2026 at 12:00pm.

Viewing will take place at the church from 11:15am.

A private cremation will follow for immediate family members.
