Josef Otieno Auma Oduvo

t is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Josef Otieno Oduwo, who rested peacefully in his sleep in May 2026 in Melbourne, Australia, following a short illness.

Josef was the beloved father of Ah-Reum Auma Choi Oduwo, lovingly shared with Sunjae Choi; cherished son of Eng. George Oduwo Nyangasi and Dr. Rispah Oduwo; and dear brother of Elizabeth Akoth Oduwo, Dr. Paul Nyangasi Oduwo, and Dr. Noah Akala Oduwo.

Josef will be remembered for his kindness, humility, leadership, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. His warmth, generosity, and service touched many lives across Kenya and Australia.
The family is currently arranging for his repatriation to Kenya, with details of his final rites in Seme, Kisumu to be communicated in due course.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
