We regret to announce the passing on of Joseph Owen Magonda, on the 30th of July 2020, at the Coast General Hospital, Mombasa.

He was the last born child of the late Josphat Magonda & Milkah Wamaitha Magonda (Mombasa).

He is survived by his wife, Bilha Nyambura (Mombasa), and his children Imani Muriuki and Favour Wamaitha.

He was a brother to Anthony Gitau & Lillian Nyambura Gitau, Winnie Wangari Magonda, Andrew Njoroge Magonda & Susan Njoroge, and his twin Samuel Magonda.

Beloved Son-in-law to Reuben Kibata Mugo & Pauline Wanjiku Kibata, and a brother-in-law to Martin Kanyingi Kibata & Nancy Mumbi, Antony Kanyingi Kibata & Betty, Solomon Mugo Kibata & Stella, Leonard Murithi & Anne Wambui, Jim Shiundu & Teresia Wangui.

Uncle to Nderitu Gitau, Emmanuel Muriuki Gitau, Angellah Cynthia Wamaitha, Catherine Wamaitha Njoroge, Emmanuel Muriuki Njoroge, Victor Kamau, Angel Wamaitha and Blessing Wangechi Njoroge, Pauline, Faith, Joy, Naomi, Cynthia, Wanjiku, Murugi, Wanjiru, Wangui, Naliaka, Navalayo, Kavugwi, Daniel, Christopher, Caleb, Reuben, Andrew and Wisdom.

‘Uncle Babu’ to Blessing Njeri Nderitu and Enzo Gitau Nderitu.

Joseph was an amazing cousin, and beloved friend to many.

The cortege leaves the Coast General Hospital Mortuary, Mombasa, on the 4th day of August, for his final journey home; where he shall be laid to rest at his late father’s farm in Baricho, Kirinyaga County, on the 5th of August 2020.
