Mama Rev. Rael Okweya Omunyolo

DEATH AND FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mama Rev. Rael Okweya Omunyolo, daughter of the late Joram Ambayo and Nereah Ashioya of Buchero, Khwisero.

She was the beloved wife of Rev. Simeon Omunyolo Makabira of Bubiru Village, Kisa Central, Khwisero Sub-County, Kakamega County.
Mama Rael was a loving mother to Hellen, Evarline, Fridah, the late Mary, Jonathan, the late Ongayo, the late Swaka, Lydia, and Tecla, and a devoted stepmother to the late Okwomi.

Rael was a cherished grandmother to Ruth, Collins, Clayton, Davies, Evans, Robinson, the late Derrick, Gregory, Alex, Kalabai, Simon, Topister, Agnes, Ashubwe Ongayo, Kelvin, Nellie, Rachel, Achesa, Melissa, Allan, Naphtali, Emmanuel, Naomi, Awonder, Ceciline, Lucy, Saida, Herman, Shem, Felix, Judith, Philip, David, Edwin among others. She was mother-in-law to Peter, Joel, the late Kangaya, Jane, Iminza, Aileen,Maxwell and others.

Sister to Nyangweso,the late Ashira,late Tina, Rebecca and Mary.

Mama Rael faithfully served the Lord as a pastor under Mwirulo Church of God and ministered in several churches across Kisa Central. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, humility, compassion, and dedicated service to God and the community.

Her body will be removed from Mbale Hospital Mortuary on Monday, 10th August 2026, at 10.00 a.m.

The main fundraising (harambee) to help offset the hospital bill and burial expenses will be held at the family home on Friday, 7th August 2026, at 2.00 p.m.

The funeral service and burial will take place on Wednesday, 12th August 2026, at Bubiru Village, Kisa Central, Khwisero Sub-County, Kakamega County, and will be officiated by Mwirulo Church of God.
